Delton Henry Bormann was born February 9, 1938 in Mitchell to Phillip and Lorraine (Wieczorek) Bormann. He grew up on the family farm, attended country school and graduated from Stickney High School in 1956. On October 14, 1959 he married Henrietta VandenHoek. They farmed his entire life near Stickney. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where he served on the church council, he was a state director for the South Dakota Certified Seed Association and was a board member of the Aurora County Soil Conservation Service. Delton was an avid bowler and in his younger years enjoyed hunting.
He is survived by his wife, Henrietta, their two children: Connie Deinert, Sioux Falls; Delton Randall “Randy” (Debra) Bormann, Stickney; four grandchildren: Abby Burnside, Alex Bormann, Adam Bormann and Austin Bormann, brother, Darrell Bormann, Ft. Myers, FL; sister, Marlys (Dennis) Beukelman, Jeffers, MN and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
