David Lee Bullis


April 12, 1950 - May 4, 2008



David Lee Bullis was born April 12, 1950 to James and Alva (Dethlefsen) Bullis. He married Jill Franey on March 17, 1970.  They moved to Naugatuck, CT where he began his career in stained glass design and was employed by Tiffany House. In 1980 he returned to South Dakota and earned a degree from Black Hills Technical College in computer aided drafting. He moved to Iowa and worked as a CAD operator for twelve years.  In 2003 he retired and moved to Mitchell.


He is survived by his mother, Alva of Mitchell; one daughter, Amy Baukus and one grandson, Michael of Chamberlain, SD; two sisters, Donna Wernick and husband, Jules of Beauford, SC, Judith Chivington of Fulton, SD;  one brother, James Bullis and wife, Sherri of Albia, IA; a half brother, James Smith and wife, Marti of Miami, FL and several nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his father, a brother-in-law, Donald Chivington and a grandniece.
