Esther Nora Heisinger died September 14, 2013 at Avera Brady Nursing Home, surrounded by her family in Mitchell, SD. She was born December 9, 1913 in Sisseton, SD to George and Bertha (Clifgard) Fryer.
She was united in marriage to Ruben Thiele in 1933 and later to Anthony Heisinger in 1948.
She attended school in Wilmot, SD and was raised on her family’s farm. She and her daughter moved to Mitchell in 1946. She worked for a short time in a factory during World War II that manufactured parts for the war effort. She later became a remarkable waitress working for the many well-known restaurants in Mitchell. The last being the Town House where she worked for over twenty-five years.
She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church.
She loved gardening, doing crafts, playing Bingo and Aggravation and watching Johnny Carson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, four brothers: Hubert, Lyle, Roy and twin brother, Lester Fryer, and three sisters: Orcelia Gerber, Gladys Heuer, Beulah “Becky” Pemrick and son-in-law, Donald Peart.
She is survived by her daughter, Maxine Peart, four grandchildren: Debra (Barry) Bennett, Kathy (Mike) Hansen, Jeffrey (Maureen) Peart and Julie (Mark) Granger, seven great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren.
