Obituary

 

Ava Genevieve Klein was born as a twin on March 22, 1919 to Edward and Lulu Vivian (Applegate) Colwell. She grew up in Mitchell and graduated from Mitchell High School in 1937. She worked in libraries in Mitchell and Vermillion. In 1944 she moved to Stockton, CA where she worked in the Personnel Office of a shipyard. In 1946 she married  William Klein. Ava was a member of Central United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women’s Club and was past president and treasurer of the Grandmothers Club #27 of Stockton.

She is survived by three daughters: Kay Wulf, Boone, IA; Bette Miyasaki, Stockton, CA; Judy Klein and her partner Patricia Strand, Anacortes, WA; five grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren and one grt grt grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William, one grandson, Jason Allen and two sisters: Eva Tilberg and Ella Speck.

I am so sorry for your loss. Death is something that we will never get use to. We can't help but feel the void when someone you love dies, that is why it is accurate described as an enemy as 1 Corinthians 15:26 says: As the last enemy, death is to be brought to nothing, Yes, God will get rid it because he love you and your loved one. Please find some comfort from these facts, you and your family, in your time of need and in the days ahead.
