Mary Kathleen Jones was born June 30, 1939 to William and Virginia Fae (Collins) Corcoran in Rapid City SD. She attended school at Notre Dame in Mitchell. She married Darwin Jones on June 16, 1965 in Luverne MN. She worked at a number of restaurants in town and also cooked and worked at Dakota Wesleyan University for thirty-three years until her retirement. She loved to read and cook and really loved her cats.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Patty Jones, Mitchell; her niece, Kim Welch and husband, Dave of Lennox; two brothers: David (Lynn) Corcoran of Milwaukee WI, and Mike (Rita) Corcoran of Hartford SD; one sister, Terry (Bud) Story of Worthing, SD and one sister-in-law, Marsha Corcoran of Mitchell SD.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Darwin, her parents, three brothers: William, Ronald and Bobby and two sisters: Patricia Corcoran and Barbara Ellison.

I worked with Mary from 1979 to 1983 at the ARA dining hall at DWU while I was a student there. She was always so kind and one fo my favorite people to talk to there. I think of her everytime I hear of the town Farmer! I wish I would have seen this notice earlier, I would have attended the service. Many good memories of Mary!

Mary, you were such a great cook and so much fun to work with! The students loved you so much! I will miss you and all the wonderful times we had together!

Aunt Mary, you were always there giving our family love and kindness through even the roughest times. Ill always have a special place for you in my heart and hope that now you are safe and in the company of all the loved ones who have gone before. Bootsie we love you and if you need us were just a call away.
