Dalphene Marie Beckmann was born December 17, 1924 to S. William and Mary (Rebensdorf) Fredericksen on Robey Street in White Lake.  When she was a baby the family moved to Geneseo, Illinois.  At age 5, she returned to White Lake where she attended twelve years of school graduating in the class of 1942.  Shortly after graduation, she began working at Hanten’s Store and later Farmers and Merchants State Bank.  On February 10, 1945, Dalphene married William Beckmann.  They made their home south of White Lake for thirty-nine years.  To this union, two children were born; Bob in 1950 and Beverly in 1955.  After her husband’s death, Dalphene moved to Plankinton in April of 1984 and has lived there since.

Dalphene’s artistic ability and penmanship were well known in the community.  She took great pride in her needlework; giving the items as gifts.  Dalphene was a friend to everyone.  All she came in contact with will remember her giving spirit and caring heart.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Bob and wife, Sharon; granddaughters: Tracy, Holli and Heather from Eugene, Oregon; her daughter, Beverly Mach and her husband, Tim and their sons and wives, Bill and Kara of Dubuque, Iowa and John and Alicia and great-granddaughter, Harper Ann from Orlando, Florida; sister Betty Newell, in-laws, Bob and Irene Beckmann, Mary Beckmann and Lucille Toop and a host of nieces and nephews, neighbors and friends.

Dear Bev and family,
We enjoyed meeting and visiting with your mother at the wedding of Billy and Kara last July. Your mom was so talkative. She sent the most beautiful card with her beautiful penmanship. I know you will all miss her greatly. She was a fine lady!

On May 14th our world lost a beautiful, talented lady. Just know that she was called to Heaven to make it a much better place. She will be missed, but you will see her again someday. Our Prayers are with you and your family at this time.

Dear Bev,
I'm so sorry to hear of your mother's death. Yesterday was a hard day at St. Mary's. Please know that your family was in the prayers of our 8th grade Mass last night, and you will continue in our thoughts and prayers. Don't worry about anything here. Everything is being handled until you are able to return. Enjoy time with your family. God bless!
