Opal Merle Titze was born July 14, 1923 at rural Ethan to Edward and Lillie (Johnson) Nesheim. She attended rural school and graduated from Mitchell High School in 1942. She worked at Montgomery Wards and Northwestern Bell Telephone Company. On June 14, 1944 she married Marvin Titze at Zion Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Opal was active in the Ladies Aid, LWML Circle and Altar Guild, holding numerous offices. She also delivered Meals on Wheels for several years.
She is survived by her children: Larry (Cheryl) Titze, Mitchell, Cynthia (DeWayne) Delzer, Rapid City, Kathy (Steve) Otterby, Mitchell, Kris Theis, Rapid City, Steve (Karen) Titze, Bloomington, MN and Roxane (David) DeVries, Mitchell; thirteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, one step-great-great-grandson, and two sisters: Mildred Backlund, Mitchell and Violet Carlson, Williamsport, MD.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin in 2011, one brother, Clarence and one grandson, Carson.
