Harm John Frey was born January 5, 1918 in Buffalo Center, IA to John and Minnie (Hass) Frey. As a young man he accepted the Lord as his Savior at the Union Gospel Church and was later baptized at the Plum Creek Baptist Church. Harm served in the US Army with the European Theater of Operations during WWII. On February 22, 1947 he married Leona Triebwasser. They farmed in the Iowa Falls area, Emery area and later moved to the Fulton area where he farmed until retiring. After retirement he still enjoyed working on the farm. He enjoyed traveling which included a trip back to Europe and Puerto Rico. Harm also enjoyed reading, spending time with his family and helping them in many ways. He had been a member of Plum Creek Baptist Church and long time member of Northridge Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory are his children: Donna (Charles) Barnard, Yankton; Dennis (Judy) Frey, Fulton; Marilyn (Allen) Eckman, Mitchell; John (Heidi) Frey, Fulton; eleven grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and one great grandchild due in April.
He was preceded in death by his wife Leona, two brothers: Carl, Harm’s twin whom died in infancy and a younger brother, also named Carl, two sisters: Sophine Frey and Grace Poley, two half brothers: Tom and Harry Frey and two half sisters: Deane Froom and Jen Hartzel.
