It has been past a year and we had the ceremony this June '09.
Many family and friends came, enjoying coffee afterwards.
Carol and I drove to Iowa to visit your family and see your ole stomping grounds before you moved to Mitchell.
We miss you so but know you are in the Lord's house and imagine you must be busy serving Him. He must be so pleased.
How many times I have gone to the phone, thinking I would call to share a laugh or story with you. Then I remember....I miss your voice and wisdom so very much. Praising God for giving me your presence for 50 plus years. Invaluable, priceless, indescribable, so very grateful for you and Sam's unconditional love in the middle of turbulent life. Please save me a seat, Gram. I know you will. Love in His Grace, Lucinda

You will forever be the brilliant, red cardinal in the garden to me. Thank you for modeling how to be a kind woman, loyal friend, able volunteer, hopeful mother & devoted grandmother. You made this world so much better. I am very grateful and will remember you always. Love in Him, Lucinda
