Obituary

Greg Robert Foster was born January 20, 1960 in Portland, OR. He grew up in Oregon and attended Southern Oregon University. He was founder and president of Emerald City Moving and Storage in Seattle, WA and after moving to Mitchell, was co-owner of the Moonlight Bar and Lounge. On September 1, 2007 he married Shannon Gardner on the Kenai River in Alaska. He was past president of Mitchell Main Street and Beyond, president of Mitchell Image Guild and board member of the Convention Visitor Bureau. He was past board member of Dave’s Motorcycle Club in Seattle. Greg strongly believed in being a good corporate citizen and he took action to make each community he lived in a better place and he challenged others to be a better citizen and to take action through local organizations. His greatest joys in life were simple times, sailing the San Juan Islands with his sons Nick and Jake, riding the Cascade Mountains with Shannon or piloting a boat on the Kenai River.

He is survived by his wife, Shannon, two sons, Jake and Nick, Vancouver, WA; his father, Bob (Marney) Foster, Portland, OR; and sister, Dana Krieger, Vancouver, WA.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lois Ann in May 1992.

I am (was) Greg"s first cousin, and I am at a loss for words and shocked and deeply saddened by the loss of Greg!. I have so many memories with him growing up. My deepest sympathies go out to Shannon, Dana, Bob, Marni, Jake, and Nick.
I will be at the Portland Oregon Memorial, see you all then
