Joseph Anthony LeCroix was born July 21, 1953, to Joseph and Ethel LeCroix at Aiken, SC. He grew up and attended school at Decatur, AL. He was a veteran of the US Army, and served with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam. From 1973 until 1989, he was an over the road truck driver for Leonard Brothers Transportation in Miami, FL, Steinbecker Brothers Transportation in Greeley, CO, and also worked on oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. From 1989 until 1991, he managed the Disabled American Veterans Chapter #8, homeless shelter for veterans in Greeley, CO. In 1991, he graduated from Aims Community College in Greeley, CO, with a degree in Engineering Technology. He was a technician and systems analyst for Centennial Engineering Inc. in Arvada, CO, and also operated Thunder Performance, a racing and performance engine shop. He had been a resident of Mitchell since 2003, where he was employed at Sound Pros, Daylight Donuts and ran a small mechanics shop.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
