Nicholas Raymond Feldman was born in Kankakee, IL on April 30, 1971 to Raymond and Elizabeth Susan (Blanchard) Feldman. At age seven he moved with his family to Mitchell where he attended schools, graduating in 1989. He attended Northern State College and then worked in customer service at CitiBank in Sioux Falls. In 2001 he was involved in an accident which forced him to retire. Nick’s passion was the sport of wrestling. His enthusiasm for the sport continued after high school by coaching, competing and mentoring. After his accident, Nick remained involved from the sidelines, but his enthusiasm never wavered.
Grateful for having shared his life are his parents, Ray and Liz Feldman of Mitchell, one brother, Adam Feldman of Poquoson, VA, one sister, Caroline Myers and husband, Seth of Mitchell, his two nieces, Emma and Piper, his aunt and uncle, Dave and Joan Feldman of Liverpool, England, aunt, Marian Mianko and aunt Pat and uncle, Neil McLaughlan all of Australia and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Nathanial and Ivy Feldman, his maternal grandparents, George and Hettie Blanchard and an uncle, Ted Blanchard.
A memorial fund has been established in his name.

I want to say how terribly sorry I am to hear about Nick. I enjoyed caring for him as one of his attendants. i grew very close to him. Although it saddens us all who care for him, take comfort in knowing he is walking again with the Lord and pain free! God Bless you all!

I want to offer my condolences to Ray, Liz, Adam, Caroline and family. We all have a lot of great memories of Nick that will not be forgotten. I have been a friend of the family since I was a youngster and I always looked up to the guy, even though he used me to practice his takedowns in high school. ; ) He’ll be missed!!!

To Nicks Family my deepest condolences. He was a mentor and a great friend on and off the wrestling mat. Even though it has been awhile I will always remember him and Adam being very generous, and gracious to me. His spirit will live on for what he gave to others, and who he touched during his brief life. To you Nick I say thank you and may you rest in peace.

My prayers go out to the Feldman family. I was a high school classmate of Nicks. In recent years, I had formed a friendship with Nick. I work in healthcare here in SF and would see Nick frequently, We would chat and reminisce about our high school years. I will cherish the times I got to spend with him recently. Thankful for having known him.

Dear Ray, Liz, Adam, Emily and Seth,
Our hearts go out to every one of you. Such a loss for your family. Our family will always remember Nick - his support and encouragement to our sons during wrestling and they will remember the times they later spent in Sioux Falls with Nick. He truly loved the sport of wrestling and encouraged so many kids with his advice and knowledge. May you find peace in all your memories. We hope to talk with you soon.
