Jeffrey William Eschenbaum was born December 5, 1955 in Faulkton, South Dakota to Melvin & Mary Eschenbaum, now deceased. Jeff grew up in the Faulkton area and later Winner, South Dakota. He graduated from Winner High School in 1975. He spent six years in the Army stationed in El Paso, Texas. After his service he moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma and learned the welding trade. He met and married Gert Hambright in 1981. He adopted her daughter, Tasha and together they had a daughter, Cassandra. Jeff worked at various welding companies in the Tulsa area for about twenty years.
About ten years ago Jeff moved to Mitchell, South Dakota to be near his parents. While in Mitchell he worked for Champion Homes and United Building Center as a carpenter. Jeff developed severe COPD and soon retired. He died at home on May 23, 2010.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, William & Ida Eschenbaum and Adam and Odelia [Tillie] Bauhs, and numerous uncles and aunts.
His loss is now being grieved by his daughters, Cassandra Minihan and husband, Bobbie and Tasha Cosby of Tulsa, OK; his brother, John of Winner; his sisters: Jane Heying from Winner, Judy Bush from Tulsa, OK and his stepmother, Clara from Winner; three nephews, three nieces and eight great nieces and great nephews.

I am a long time friend of Jeff's brother John. I will pray for Jeff's soul and for the loved ones he left, when he went on his Spirit Journey. May Almighty God forgive Jeff of his sins and bring him to life everlasting. May he rest in peace.
