Clinton Bartholomew McDonald was born May 4, 1934, in Beaver County, OK, to Earl and Nellie (Benner) McDonald. He grew up in Oklahoma and attended Talihina High School in Talihina, OK. On November 10, 1953, he joined the US Marine Corps. He served in the Korean War and two tours of duty in the Vietnam War. On December 31, 1958, he married Zena Faye Bowen, in Washington, DC. They lived in Camp Pendleton, CA, Hawaii, San Diego, CA, and Barstow, CA. After his retirement from the Marine Corps, they lived in West Bountiful, Utah, where he was employed by the Union Pacific Railroad and then Spearman, TX, where he was employed at Baker Taylor Drilling Co. They had been residents of Kimball, SD since 2006.
He is survived by his wife, Zena Faye; three children: Teresa Henson of Mitchell, Patricia Quillin of Dallas, TX and Anna McDonald of Altus, OK; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren; six sisters and three brothers. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
