Obituary

 

 

Julia Ida-Ann Presuhn was born on June 7, 1963, to Vernon and Vera (Heiman) Presuhn in Mitchell, SD.  She attended grade school and high school in Emery, SD and later received her GED.  Julie attended Mitchell Vo-Tech for a while where she was enrolled in the Child Care Program.  She worked different jobs and in 1980 became a client of the Pathway Program.

 She attended St. John’s Lutheran Church in Emery, SD where she was confirmed and became a member in 1977.  She was currently attending Resurrection Lutheran Church in Mitchell, SD.

She had a love for children and taught Sunday school, helped out at Longfellow School and had been an assistant Girl Scout leader for the last three years.  She made her home at Greenridge Apartments in Mitchell for the last nine years.

She is survived by her sisters, Pam Johnson and husband Gary, Mt Vernon, SD, Gayla Winter, Lennox, SD, and Gloria Fischer and husband, Joel, Mitchell, SD; two nieces, Anna Winter, Brookings, SD and Abbie Johnson, Mt. Vernon, SD; four nephews:  Shay and Joe Johnson, Mt. Vernon, SD,  Patrick Winter, Lennox, SD, and Isaac Fischer, Mitchell, SD.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother, Vera Presuhn in December of 2007 and her father, Vernon Presuhn in February 2009.
