William "Bill" Moeller


November 6, 1950 - May 14, 2010




William Daniel Moeller was born November 6, 1950, in Mitchell, to Edward P. and Margaret May (Erpelding) Moeller. He attended Willow Lake Country School through the 6th grade and graduated from Kimball High School in 1969. He graduated from South Dakota State University in Brookings with a double major in Biology and Grassland Management. He returned to the family farm in 1974. He bought his first Charolais cattle in 1974 and Charolais bulls for twenty-five years. On July 5, 1991, he married Teresa Thiry in Chamberlain. He was a member of the American International Charolais Association, Willow Lake Township Board and St. Margaret’s Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa, and his daughter, Clara of Kimball; his mother, Margaret Moeller of Mitchell; five brothers: Edward Moeller and wife, Annie of DeSmet, Bob Moeller of Sealey, TX and son, Brian, Tom Moeller and wife, Stella of Deadwood, Larry Moeller of Mitchell and his son, Tyler,  Richard Moeller and wife, Sandy of Pearland, TX, and their sons, Gene and John and daughter, Elizabeth; two sisters: Edith Burlingame and husband, Kelly of Little Falls, MN, and their sons,  Lucas and Ethan, Carol Edwards and her husband, Russell of Lead and their sons, Trent and Trevor; and one uncle, Albert Moeller and his wife, Luella of White Lake.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward Moeller, one sister, Ruth Moeller, his grandparents, Edward and Clara Moeller, Ferd and Nellie Erpelding, one sister-in-law, Donna Moeller, three uncles: Sylvester “Cap” Moeller and wife Johannah, Cecil Moeller and wife Neola and John Moeller.

Bill's wishes were to give the gift of life as an organ donor.


A Memorial Fund has been established to the Kimball Ambulance Service.

Dear Teresa,
