Obituary

Wesley Dale Pearson was born October 23, 1931 in Mitchell to Margaret and Lowell Pearson.  He spent most of his life in Mitchell as a distributor of the Sioux City Paper, Sioux Falls Argus Leader, Minneapolis Tribune and the Mitchell Daily Republic.  His customers always knew that the paper would be on time and put in its proper place.

He was a Boy Scout member of Troop 71 under Carl Sprunger.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mitchell for sixty-six years, where he enjoyed going to the “Love Feast Program” for many years.  His hobbies included golf, playing cards and table pool.

Wesley helped serve the senior noon meal at Meadow Lawn for many years and was awarded “Volunteer of the Month” for his support.  It kept Wesley busy every day and gave him something to look forward to.  Wesley enjoyed going over to the north McDonald’s Restaurant where he spent many hours visiting his friends during his evening meal.

He is survived by three brothers:  Norman Pearson and wife, Faye, Mitchell, SD, Darrell Pearson and wife, Virginia, Long Beach, CA and Bruce Pearson, Armour, SD and many cousins, nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents.
