Marjorie Lucille Wilson was born May 31, 1920, at Bijou Hills, SD, to John and Emma (Potter) Caldwell. She grew up and attended school at Bijou Hills and graduated from Platte High School. She attended nurse’s training at Methodist Hospital in Mitchell. On July 19, 1942, she married Everett Wilson at Yuma, AZ. She worked at the B-24 Bomber Factory and operated a service station in California. She and her husband returned to South Dakota after World War II, and they farmed southwest of Mitchell. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Ladies Aid and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Everett; four children: Paul Wilson and wife, Barb of Black Hawk, SD, Burt Wilson and wife, Chris of Mitchell, SD, Teresa Wilson of Mitchell, SD, Joan Whittemore and husband, Danny of Colorado Springs, CO; three grandchildren: Scott Wilson, Jessica Kippes and Travis Wilson; three great-grandchildren: Ethan Wilson, Quinton Wilson and Logan Wilson; one brother, John Caldwell and wife, Rita of Great Falls, MT; two sisters, Eunice Bartekoske of Gregory, SD and Karleen Hushagen and husband, Les of Pelican Rapids, MN.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and sisters.
