Adolf Stiftar was born February 9, 1918 in Cleveland, OH to John and Anna (Kozjan) Stiftar. He grew up and attended school in Cleveland. On July 11, 1949 he married Jeanette Mae Ulrich. He was employed as a painter and was a member of the Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades Union #867. He was an avid collector and sold antiques and antique toys. He also loved to garden and fish.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette of Mitchell; one son, Adolph Stiftar of Rochester, MN; one daughter-in-law, Marianne Antonie of Mitchell; two sisters: Anna Zidonis of Garrettsville, OH, Mary “Mimi” McMahon of Wellington, OH; two brothers: Ernest Stiftar of Chardon, OH, Albert Stiftar of Stow, OH; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, R. Anthony “Tony” Antonie, two sisters, Josephine and Jenny and three brothers: John Jr., Edward and William.
