Alice L. Peters was born October 2, 1928 in Brule County near Kimball, SD to William and Florence (Benedict) Collins. She grew up at Kimball where she attended school and graduated from Kimball High School in 1946. On September 2, 1948 she married Jerome Peters at White Lake. She was a homemaker and delivered the Mitchell Daily Republic in White Lake for many years. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church where she served on the Altar Society and taught Catechism. For a number of years she was a Brownie Girl Scout Troop Leader.
She is survived by her two daughters: Barbara Nagel and husband, Mark of Mitchell, Cyndi Quizon of Pensacola, FL, one son, Greg Peters of Pierre, three grandchildren: Erin Griggers, Luke Nagel, Shawn Nagel, two great-grandchildren: David and Makaylah Griggers, one brother, Lee Collins and wife, Pat of Rapid City, three sisters: Lillian Harris of Reno, NV, Betty Collins of Reno, NV, Rose Marie Burns of CA and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerome in July 2005, three brothers and one grandchild.
