Anna Louise Tammen was born November 15, 1913 at rural Emery to Diedrich and Dorothy (Greenfield) Tammen. She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Bridgewater High School in 1931. She worked as a secretary at the ASC Office for seven years and was the McCook County Deputy Auditor until retiring in 1980. Following retirement she cared for her mother. She was a member of St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women and the various church groups. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed her Bridge Club.
She is survived by two nieces: Lorelei Carter and husband, Ken of Granite Falls, MN and Marlene Jensen and husband, Dan of Janesville, MN; five great-nephews: Michael Jensen and his family, Matthew Jensen and his family, Bob Carter and his family, Rich Carter and his family, Ted Carter and his family and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant sister, an infant brother and her sister, Helen Folkerts.
