Elsie Bertha Bogenhagen, was born April 28, 1910, at White Lake, SD, to Edwin and Anna (Kiehn) Bogenhagen. She grew up and attended school at White Lake, then attended nursing training in Sioux City, IA. She was a housekeeper in Sioux Falls and Fairmont, MN, and was employed at the Fairmont Canning Company. She returned to White Lake and worked at the Aurora Brule Nursing Home and the White Lake City Library. She cared for her disabled brother and her father for many years. She was a longtime member of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid and taught Sunday School for many years. She was always available to help others.

She is survived by one brother, Raymond Bogenhagen and wife Wilma of Dell Rapids, SD, one sister-in-law, Ida Bogenhagen of Aberdeen, SD, numerous nieces and nephews and many relatives and friends.   She was preceded in death by two sisters, Esther Zieman and Adellia Bogenhagen, three brothers, Arnold, Gustav and Elmer Bogenhagen and five infant siblings and her parents.

Our Deepest Sympathy, We have never met this wonderful lady named Elsie but from different stories told by niece Betty she must of been one of the best. So God opened the door and said I want you to come home. He takes only the best. Our prayers are with your family during this time. Love to all.
