My deepest condolences to Jean's family. Believe it or not, I typed Jean Brooks into Facebook today and was hoping to get back in touch with Jean. I live in Sioux Falls now and was hoping Jean was still in Mitchell so we could get together. We worked together in Winner. She was a good friend and a very special lady. I

Jean was a dear friend for years. I remember our wonderful morning coffee klatsches with Mitchell friends and neighbors. What good times we had. We were advisors together to the youth group at New Home. Daughter Jennifer babysat for Jean's kids. Too many memories to recount here, but she will be in my memories as a dear friend and wonderful mother. My sympathies to her children, grandchildren and many friends. She now rests in the arms of Jesus and is at peace, as promised.

Our sympathies to all of Jean's family and friends. Oh what great memories our family has of the good old days. The many softball tournament memories from the 60's, 70's and 80's. She was a great gal and friend. Just note to all time is fleeting and as the old song goes----When you leave your mark on the shifting sands of time, be sure you do not leave the mark of a heel. Jean left her positive footprint and she will not be forgotten.
