Minnie Elizabeth Heidinger was born August 28, 1911 to Daniel and Hilda Johnson Bates in Yankton, SD.  She and her family were Mitchell residents where she grew up and attended school.  On July 13, 1929 she married William Heidinger in Yankton, SD.  Following their marriage they resided in Mitchell where she worked at Armour’s Creamery and later at Mitchell Produce.  Following the adoption of her daughter, she was a full-time homemaker. For the last eight years she had been a resident of Prairie Crossings.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and the James Valley Community Center.

She is survived by her daughter Ruth Ann Cunningham and husband Bob, Mitchell, SD; two grandchildren, David, Sioux Falls, SD and Dale and wife, Heather, Mitchell, SD and one great grandchild, Michael Nelson, Sioux Falls, SD.

She was preceded in death by her husband William, in 1989, her parents, a sister, Chris Smith and a brother, Ernest Bates.

I am honered to have had Aunt Min in my life for the 97 years she was with sorry I couldn't have visited her more ofton.

I am thankful for every moment I had with Aunt Min. In our few visits I learned alot from her. God bless her soul and may she be at peace.
