Obituary

 

 

Lillian Viola Ochsner was born February 3, 1915 at Emery, SD to Carl and Elizabeth (Huether) Lang.  On March 14, 1935 she married Edward Ochsner at the Plum Creek Baptist Church at rural Emery. They moved to Mitchell where she was employed by Mitchell Produce, Newberry’s and then worked at Brady Memorial Home for over twenty-five years. She was a very quiet and loving mom and grandmother.  She will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Wilfong and husband Ron of Rapid City, SD and Betty Greer and husband Dale of Godfrey, IL;  two sisters, Rose Johnson of Dell Rapids, SD and Clara Sampson of Vermillion, SD; eight grandchildren, Doug Hendricksen, Deb Geske, Judy Binfet, Terry Hendricksen, Tina Puetz, Craig Greer, Gary Greer and Patty Johnson, sixteen great grandchildren and fourteen great great grandchildren. Lillian was a special grandma to Hanna and Grace.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ed Ochsner, her parents, four brothers, Benjamin, Ted, Emil and Ervin, six sisters, Martha, Annie, Leah, Lydia, Emma and Maxine.

I just want Lillians family know that they are in my prayers and thoughts. She will be missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Lillian was a very special person and relative she was my Grandma Emma's sister and I really enjoyed my visits with when I would get back to Mithcell.
