Luella Barbara Moeller


June 13, 1928 - February 15, 2018



Luella Barbara Moeller was born June 13, 1928 on the family farm to John and Elizabeth (Kesel) Holzhauser. She attended country school through the 6th grade.

Luella was united in marriage to Albert Moeller on November 16, 1954 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in White Lake, SD where she was a member her entire life. During that time she was part of the Altar Society and Christian Mothers. Her past time activities included raising chickens, helping on the farm, cooking and baking. She took great pride in her sewing, crocheting and embroidery projects along with the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Luella and Albert moved into town in April of 2012, six years after retiring from farming.  ln January of 2013 they moved to the Aurora Brule Care and Rehab Center.

Grateful for having shared her life are her children: Marlis (Tony) Russell, Stanley, ND, Vince Moeller and Diane (Jim) Munsen all of White Lake, SD; her two brothers: Gerald Holzhauser of Plankinton, SD and John Paul (Pat) Holzhauser of Gettysburg, SD; her grandchildren: Kyle (Naila) Russell, Kory (Hilary) Russell, Jason (Teena) Moeller, Doug (Brooke) Moeller, Greg (Emily) Moeller, Lance and Scott Moeller, Kayleen Munsen, Kim (Seth) York, Paige Munsen and friend, Brandon Overweg, and Heather and Carla (CJ) Munsen; 15 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert in 2014; one son, David in 1958 and her parents; siblings include: Ernie and wife, lrene, Raymond and wife, Francis, Edward, Mary (Mamie)and husband, Raymond Krumvieda, Minnie and husband, Charles Nightingale and Marcella (Sally)and husband, Wally Hart.

Luella is missed at the nursing home. She was such a joy & has long been a part of our family here. She will be remembered with love.
