Obituary

LeeRoy Bahmuller, 86, Mitchell, died Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital.

Funeral services will be 10:30 am Thursday, January 25 at the Bittner Funeral Chapel in Mitchell. Burial will be in the American Legion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8:00 pm Wednesday at the Bittner Funeral Chapel.

LeeRoy Andrew Bahmuller was born December 2, 1931 at home near Olivet, SD to Andrew and Katherine (Fischer) Bahmuller. He grew up on the farm near Emery where he attended school and graduated from Emery high School in 1949. He was drafted into the Army during the Korean War. On May 20, 1956 he married Colleen Champion at the Congregational Church in Mitchell. LeeRoy began his work in sales with Larson Distributors for 15 years, then Dean’s Specialty Supply Co. for several years and retired from Hahn Associates, a cosmetic company after 18 years. He was a member of the Congregational Church, the American Legion and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by one brother, Alton Bahmuller of Mitchell, two sisters-in-law: Sadie Bahmuller of Springfield and Marie Bahmuller of Bridgewater and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Colleen in 2010, sisters: Leona in infancy, Edna Vanerlinde, brothers: Edward, Theodore, Irvin and Herbert.

This just breaks my heart LEE LEE you will be missed dearly. It wont be the same on Tuesday morning coffee. sending prayers to family in there loss of a really great guy.

We are sorry to learn of Lee’s passing. He was a nice friend abd a great husband to Colleen who has been gone for about. 8 years. He was also a good friend up Harvey Schutz
