Virginia Dugan Rozum of Mitchell, South Dakota, passed away on August 29, 2017, at the age of 95. She was born in Mason City, Iowa, on July 10, 1922, to Mary (Bonertz) and Daniel Stephen Dugan of Sioux Falls, South Dakota. On October 25, 1954, she married Leo J. Rozum of Mitchell in Sioux Falls.
She is survived by two sons: Father George A. Rozum, CSC, of Notre Dame, Indiana, and John F. (Tona) Rozum of Mitchell, South Dakota; four daughters: Anne M (Keith) Bailey of Centennial, Colorado; Mary V. (Kent) Anderson of Vermillion, South Dakota; Martha J. Pfeifle of Pelican Rapids, Minnesota; Molly P. Rozum of Vermillion, South Dakota; 9 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Ellen Clare in 1974, her husband, Leo in 1975, son-in-law Paul Pfeifle in 2011, her parents and 3 sisters: Genevieve Dugan DeLucchi Pollitt in 1992, Ellen Dugan Everist in 1998 and Lucile Dugan in 1998.
Family services were held on September 11, 2017 at St Michael’s Catholic Church, Coleridge, Nebraska with Father George Rozum, CSC, officiating, followed by burial in the Dugan family plot in St Michael’s cemetery.
