Obituary

 

Kenneth LeRoy Yusten was born March 18, 1931 to Theodore and Esther (Isaacson) Yusten in Ethan, SD.  He married Donetta Boehmer on December 30, 1951 in Mt. Vernon, SD.  They moved to Fayetteville, NC where Ken was stationed at Ft. Bragg, holding the rank of Staff Sergeant in the 82nd Airborne Division.  He was honorably discharged in 1954 and then moved back to South Dakota where he worked construction until he retired.

Grateful for sharing his life are his wife of 65 years, Donetta; his children: Nancy (Jon) Sullivan of Artesian, SD, Gail (Mike) Denne of Mitchell, SD, Debbie (Dale) Anderson of Mitchell, SD, Cyndee (Jason) Emmons of Watertown, MN, Bonnie (Duane) Wince of Rapid City, SD, Jeff (Maria) Yusten of Manilla, IA, and Lori Yusten of Dallas, TX; 25 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

 He is preceded in death by three brothers, four sisters and his parents.

Cyndee-My deepest sympathy for you and your family's loss. Very hard to lose a parent. I lost mine 22 years agp now. Just hold onto the good memories and pass them down to your kids and grandchildren.
