Obituary

Craig Scott Tegethoff was born April 12, 1961 to Bernard and Patricia (Lanctot) Tegethoff in Mitchell, SD. He worked at Pepsi while attending Mitchell High School. He later worked at McLeod’s Printing for many years. Craig started working as a skilled carpenter for his father’s construction company, and when his father retired he worked as a self-employed carpenter for the remainder of his later years.

Craig was an avid hunter, fisher, gardener (everyone loved his homemade salsa), and lover of the outdoors. His property was always known for the animals walking around freely including chickens, guineas, and his iconic peacocks. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Mitchell.

He is survived by his son, Nic Tegethoff, Mitchell; his parents, three brothers: Rick (Roxanne) Tegethoff, James (Kay) Tegethoff, and Bernie William (Danita) Tegethoff; three sisters: Cindy (Bruce) Trebil, Pam (Dan) Roeder and Tracy (Kathy DeWald) Tegethoff and many nieces and nephews.

Bernie and Pat-we are so very sorry for your loss. Craig was always smiling, spent many times just shooting the bull-always willing to help anyone that needed it without expecting anything in return. Heaven definitely gained an angel-one with personality and kindness. Miss you Craig

Our sympathies to the Tegethoff family. We became neighbors to Craig when we bought the Radke house. Never a dull moments back there, it seemed! Didn't surprise us to have a peacock or turkey or even a pot-bellied pig come walking across our yard -- we knew who they belonged to! Craig was a good neighbor, even when he tried our patience with his "yard cars". As I said, never a dull moment!! Forever a kid at heart!! Our thoughts and prayers will be with your family in the days ahead.
