Florence Buechler was born September 15, 1927 at home on the farm near Mound City, SD to John and Emma (Ackerman) Grenz. She accepted Jesus as her Savior when she was eleven years old. She grew up attending country school and was a member of the Gradenfeld Baptist Church. On August 22, 1948 she married Algon Buechler. They made their home in Aberdeen where Florence worked for White Cross Cleaner for many years and later the Aberdeen and Henry Neil School for 23 years. Florence was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Aberdeen and served in many different offices of the church. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crocheting.
She is survived by two sons: Richard (Linda) Buechler of Sioux Falls, Jim Buechler of Mitchell; two grandchildren: Algon James Buechler of St. Paul, MN, Jennifer (Mike) Lauritsen of Pierre; step-grandchildren: Christopher (Racheal) Foster, Stephanie (Shane Byrd) Vaughan, Matt Foster, three great grandchildren: Caitlyn Vaughan, Ethan Vaughan and Keena Lauritsen; one brother, Cletis (Inez) Grenz of Eureka and sister-in-law, Alice (Grenz) Waege.
She was preceded in death by her husband in August 1984, brother, Wilmer, sister, Irene Quenzer, two brothers and one sister in infancy and two nephews.

Richard, James and family. I enjoyed correspondence with your mother, Aunt Florence so very much. She was a sweet person, and full of faith. I am very sorry for your loss. May God bless you all.

We have such fond memories of Florence and Algon when we all went to church together in Aberdeen. Both were GREAT people and they lived their faith on a daily basis. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family. May God give you a special strength for the days ahead.
