My sympathies go out to you all. I have many fond memories of your parent's home. I spent a great deal of time at my great grandparents' house, Ray and Marie Cummings. I would "cook" for them and they were all so graciously tolerant of those experiments. After dinner we'd sit out by the garage. In those metal chairs, just listening to the locusts. I still think of those times when I hear locusts today! Great memories. I'll be thinking of you all in the coming days. God bless.

I'm Dawns sister and I agree with what she said about Mabel, her daughters treated us like there little sisters, they had the swing set in there back yard we spent hours on, our grandparents always new where we were. Mabel will be missed, now she can visit with her neighbors and our parents up in heaven. God Bless to the family.

Mabel lived right next door to my grandparent's (Cummings) home when I grew up. I spent a lot of time at Bud and Mabel's house during that time; and will always remember her spunky attitude!! She always made me feel welcome with her smile and hugs!! I kind of lost track of her over the years until I found out she was in the nursing home. I would try to stop in and see her when I came back home to visit my parents; and send her cards. She greeted me with that same smile and hug!! I loved Mabel with all my heart and I will definitely miss her. Godspeed to her family and always know that this Bender kid loved me some Mabel!!
