Harvey V. Terveen was born January 16th, 1920 on the family farm near Emery, SD to Albert J. and Grace (Roskens) Terveen. He graduated from McCook County School in Emery, SD in 1934. Harvey was a member of the First Baptist Church in Emery. He was a hard-working farmer his entire life. He married Louise R. Fluth on September 20th, 1940. They had five children. Harvey and Louise moved from Emery to Turlock, CA in 1970 where they farmed and operated a dairy for many years. Harvey devoted his life to the farm. He enjoyed going to the smorgasbord after Sunday church services. Harvey also enjoyed livestock and farm auctions, going fishing and playing cards. He knew how to yodel too! Harvey and Louise took vacations to Southern California and to Baja Mexico. His face lit up when he saw his grandkids. “Grandpa Harvey” always had lots of stories to tell the grandkids about his younger days. What he called “the good ole days”. He was quite the character and loved to carry on a conversation. He always said; “As long as you’ve got your health, you’ve got to enjoy life.” and “I’ll miss you very much.”
Gramps: We will miss you very much and loved you dearly.
