Karen Mable Klock was born October 7, 1943 in Emery, SD to Edwin and Mable (Janssen) Decker. She grew up in Emery, graduating from Emery High School in 1961. She married Roger Klock on November 16, 1962 in Emery. Karen was employed at the Security State Bank in Emery for many years and operated R-K Oil Company with Roger. She also worked at J & W Foods for a number of years. In 1993 she moved to Spearfish and in 1998 moved to Tempe, AZ to be near her grandchildren. Karen grew up attending Plum Creek Baptist Church at rural Emery and later became a member of First Baptist Church in Emery where she was involved in teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and sang special music.
She is survived by four sons: Brian Klock of Mitchell, Chad (Jill) Klock of Phoenix, AZ, Troy (Kristina) Klock of Scottsdale, AZ and Tony (Amy) Klock of Rapid City; ten grandchildren; brothers: Donald (Alice) Decker of Los Angeles, CA, Alvin (Jeannie) Decker of Spearfish; sisters: Virginia (Myron) Weber of Spearfish, Beverly (Leonard) Blue of Sioux Falls; brother-in-law, Gerald Wollman of Bridgewater; sisters-in-law: Iva Pfeifer of Phoenix, AZ, Trish Zwardt of Larchwood, IA and LouEtta Decker of Bridgewater, SD.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Richard, David and Roger and sister, Vauneta Wollman.
