Obituary

Paul Kleckner Kruse was born December 18, 1927 in Riceville, IA to Emil and Mabel (Kleckner) Kruse. He grew up attending school in Riceville and Cresco, IA. At the age of 15 he began working for Raymond Raytherd in Cresco, IA helping design and making Morse code practice sets for military use during WWII. He served in the US Army during the Korean War and worked repairing radios. In 1955 he married Jeanette Freeman. They resided in New Hampton, IA where he assembled computer-type adding machines. In 1960 he married Betty Ann Olson Harrell in Chamberlain, SD. He worked in radio and television sales and repair in Lake Andes and Wagner until retiring in 1998. In October 2011 he moved to Mitchell to be near his children. He attended Faith Missionary Church in Mitchell.

He is survived by his children:  Roxanne Wilcox of Mitchell, Lorrie Williams of Mitchell, Paul D. (Naomi) Kruse of Phoenix, AZ, Susan Kruse of Tustin, MI; two step-sons: James Olson and Gordon Harrell of Mitchell; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and one brother, Lyle Kruse of Spring Valley, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Betty in 1984 and a brother, Dale Kruse.
