Obituary

Frederick Dean Meier was born on September 25, 1933 in Mitchell, SD to Frederick and Maude (Mauer) Meier.  Frederick grew up on the family farm in White Lake, SD. Frederick married Patricia Ann Holoubek on June 26th, 1956.   Frederick bought and maintained his father’s family farm place in White Lake, SD until Pat and himself moved to Sioux Falls, SD in 1997. Frederick was a resident of the Good Samaritan Society.  Frederick had a way of charming people with his interactions of singing tunes in his heart and out loud with his infectious smile.  Frederick was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of White Lake, SD and worshiped at Lord of Life Lutheran Church, Sioux Falls, SD.

With their love, Frederick and Patricia raised 6 children:  Michael (Teresa) Meier, Sioux Falls, SD, Mark (Barb) Meier, Mt. Vernon, SD, Jeanie (Jay) Berthe, Apple Valley, MN, Curtis (Jodi) Meier, Alcester, SD, Julie (Damon) Chmela, Sioux Falls, SD, Frederick (Fritz) Meier, Frisco, TX.  Bringing joy and memories to his life are seventeen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia in 2007, one infant child, one granddaughter, two brothers and one sister.

Always enjoyed Fred's company. Fred and Patsy came to Vegas to visit me about 25 years ago and we had a lot of laughs. Wishing the Meier family the best in these difficult times.

My condolences to the family. Met Fredrick once at a reunion in Chamberlain. Really nice guy. My dad Freddie kept me updated on the family and talked about him a lot.

Many fond memories of your dad, cousin Patsy and all of you kids from the time you were born. There were many dances we shared and always had a good time whenever your dad would call and say, "Hey, would you guys like to go out for a steak supper?" Also remember your dad and mine with their visits and when your dad drove his combine from your farm west of White Lake to our farm 16 miles south of Kimball to help him with harvest. Keep the good times close to your hearts as we will too. God blessāœ
