Obituary

Mary Ann Schoenfelder was born January, 12 1935 in Bridgewater, SD to Edward and Caroline (Determan) Hoffman. She married her high school sweetheart, Stephen Weber, in 1953. They had six children; she guided and taught her family by her living example. Mary was an outstanding homemaker, talented seamstress, and beautician. She was thrifty, never wanting much because she felt she had everything. Stephen died at the young age of 41. Mary then went on to school to fulfill her dream of becoming a nurse. She worked as an OB nurse at Avera Queen of Peace for 22 years. The Lord found Mary a devoted husband, Raymond Schoenfelder, in 1978 and they enjoyed 37 wonderful years. Together they shared their love of gardening, canning, quilting, woodworking, travel, and camping.

Grateful for having shared her life are her loving husband, Raymond Schoenfelder and her children: Scott Weber, deceased (fiancé, Paula Lynch), Stephanie Turner (Mark), Elk Point, SD, Bruce Weber, Lawrence, KS, Carol Weber, deceased, Mary Fouberg (friend, Shawn Gregg), Woonsocket, SD and Susan Hagen (Bryan), Worthington, MN; along with her 13 grandchildren: Zachary Weber, Hillary Turner (friend, Corri Poore), Cole Turner (Jade), Samuel Turner, Bob Schmitt, Liz Schmitt, Jeremy Fouberg, Lindsey Thompson (Michael), Matthew Fouberg (fiancé, Melissa Ryan), Sarah Fouberg, Jacob Fouberg, Turner Hagen, Carson Hagen and six great-grandchildren. Mary is also survived by her four sisters and one brother: Dolores Goldstine, Bridgewater, Evelyn Garry, Webster, Alida Ahlers, Salem, Sharon Tuschen (Larry), Salem, Jerry Hoffman (Shirley) Bridgewater and over one hundred nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Stephen Weber; son, Scott Weber; daughter, Carol Weber; brothers: Norbert and Harold Hoffman; three brothers-in-law, Carl Goldstine, Russell Garry and Marvin Ahlers and sister-in-law, Dolores Hoffman.

I adored Ms Mary Ann. The moments that i shared with her were wonderful and will never be forgotten. I had a song that came to mind when i heard of her passing..........."Now my LifeSong sings".........I am positive that you are in a wonderful place filled with wonderful songs filling the air.
May the Lord comfort our dear Ray as this time is hard for him and for all that knew Mary Ann.
We will always love you, sweet Mary Ann. " Now i hear your lifesong sing" on and on.

Mary Ann was a wonderful woman.... I cared very much for her and thought of her as my second mother. She was a wonderful grandmother to my children.... she was very devoted to our Lord Jesus Christ and i know she will look down from Heaven on us and pray for us all every day....may she rejoice in Heaven now for eternity with her family that have went before her...
