Dorothy M. Stahl was born February 2, 1921 to Paul and Lena (Blume) Reimnitz. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church at rural Dimock, SD. She married Otto Stahl on June 11, 1939. They farmed south of Mt. Vernon until moving to Mitchell in 1962. They owned and operated the Zesto Shoppe, Karmel Korn Shoppe and Dorothy was a Home Health employee.
Dorothy was a member of the Resurrection Lutheran Church in Mitchell. She enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, reading, playing cards and listening to Christian music. Her greatest pride and joy was being a grandma, great grandma and a great great grandma.
She is survived by her son, Roger (Margaret) Stahl of Fremont, NE, daughter, Donna Peacock of Mitchell, SD; eight grandchildren, seventeen great- grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Lena (Ivan) Bialas of Parkston, SD, and two sisters-in-law: Doris Reimnitz of Mitchell and Wilma Reimnitz, Corsica, SD.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Otto H. Stahl, daughter, Carol J. Leischner, one sister, Lydia Sigmund, five brothers: Louis, George, Leonard, Paul, Robert Reimnitz, two sisters-in-law, Anita, Beverly Reimnitz and one son-in-law, William Peacock.
