Douglas Gene Kuyper was born on July 23, 1957 to Don and Donna (Houtkooper) Kuyper in Platte SD. He graduated from Stickney High School in 1975 and from Mitchell Vocational Tech for Carpentry in 1977. Doug was a member of the South Dakota National Guard for ten years. He was a twenty-five year employee of Trail King Industries and was most recently employed by Graphic Packaging in Mitchell. In 1978 He married Judy Turner and together they had two children, Jennifer and Dylan. They divorced in 2005. Doug married Nonie Lunder in July of 2012. He enjoyed anything outdoors: gardening, fishing for walleye, camping or just boating on the water and throwing darts. He will be greatly missed.
Grateful and blessed for having shared in his life are his wife, Nonie; daughter, Jennifer (Joseph) Freeman and son, Dylan; parents, Don and Donna Kuyper; brothers: Dan (Melanie) Kuyper, Dwight (Julia) Kuyper, Carson Kuyper, Darcy Kuyper and sister, Dawn (Dan) Veurink.
He was preceded in death by infant brother, David and grandparents: John and Alta Houtkooper and Ed and Grace Kuyper.

Sorry for your loss. Doug worked with my late husband, they fished many a night after work. Knew Doug from darts also. Always had a smile on his face. Doug will be greatly missed.

Doug was a great nephew, and a good friend. Uncle Cliff
