LeRoy Albin Goehring was born May 10, 1933 on the farm near Bridgewater to Andrew and Martha (Kreeger) Goehring. He attended country grade school and graduated from Menno High School in 1951. He served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955. On September 4, 1959 he married Lucille Werning. They farmed near Emery until 1987 and then moved to Emery. On October 14, 1989 he married Cheryl Kayser. In 1993 LeRoy began driving semi-truck until retiring in 2012. He enjoyed feeding and watching the squirrels and birds and was an avid collector of toy trucks and tractors.
He is survived by his wife Cheryl, sons: Leland (Lori) Goehring, Humboldt, Corey (Peg) Goehring, Hartford, stepsons: Kenny Kayser and Dave (Laurie) Kayser, Emery, Todd Kayser, Parkston, step-daughter, Kathy Kayser, Emery, 12 grandchildren: Brittany Piotrowski, Ben, Hannah and Kody Goehring, Amy, Tyler (Miranda), Tyson, Tiana, Jase, Kadra, Koby and Korbyn Kayser, two great grandchildren: Beckett Kayser and Logan Piotrowski, sister, Betty Bisping, Pierce, NE and brother, Dale (Lori) Goehring, Menno.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Lucille, sons: Curtis and Craig, daughters: Lisa and Laurie, brothers: Ray and Melvin and brother-in-law, Dick Bisping.
