Obituary

Delores Elizabeth Marshall was born to Emanuel and Elizabeth (Schiessler) Weidner in Fairfax, SD on April 25, 1925.  Upon graduation from Bonesteel High School, she moved to Mitchell, SD. She worked at Mabee Clinic.  On November 22, 1948, she married Earl F. Marshall at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell. They lived and raised their family in Mitchell, where she was a dedicated mother and homemaker. As a couple, they traveled and enjoyed the activities of B.P.O.Elks, U.C.T., and the South Dakota Independent Oilmen's Association.

Dee volunteered generously of her time and talent to the Altar Societies of both Holy Family and Holy Spirit Churches, as well as Avera Queen of Peace Hospital.   She moved to Topeka, KS in January 2007 to be near family.

Left to cherish her memories are her children: David and Dee Marshall, San Diego, CA; Mary and Ed Meekins of Topeka, KS; Paul and Dale Ann Marshall of Marietta, GA; and James Marshall of El Paso, TX; 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; brothers, Elmer (Lucille) Weidner of Milwaukee, WI; Donald (Betty) Mahannah of O'Neil, NE, as well as cousins, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Earl, in 1979; an infant son, Michael Jon in 1953; a sister, Irene Jaeger; and brothers Walter Weidner and Harold Weidner, and several close friends.

Memorials may be directed in care of Bittner Funeral Chapel to Mitchell Catholic Schools Foundation or Christ the King Church (for the Elderly Eucharistic Ministry), Topeka, KS.

To the entire Marshall family;Honor a life of kindness and warmth...and all the love filled memories that will now mean more than ever. I will remember the warm hospitality in Dee's home, the many phone chats about our kids, and taking Dee out to her favorite restaurant for a steak. God's blessing of peace and comfort. My love, cousin Ray
