Terry Lee Volk


November 12, 1942 - July 13, 2008




Terry Lee Volk was born November 12, 1942 at Mitchell, SD, to Clarence and Marcella (Toomire) Volk. He grew up and attended school in Mitchell. He married Sue Wascher Sarto on December 23, 1983 at Geneva, IL. They lived in Mitchell for a number of years then moved to Hampshire, IL, where he was a butcher and owned his own company. He and his wife, Sue retired to Coloma, WI, where they enjoyed fishing, touring across the country on their motorcycle and being with family and friends.  They were members of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wautoma, WI.

 Terry was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his first wife of nineteen years, Delores Volk, Elgin, IL; two daughters: Julie Naylor, St. Charles, IL, Lisa Sloan, South Elgin, IL; one son, Brian Volk, South Elgin, IL; his step-children: Matt and Jill Sarto, Algonquin, IL, Kevin Sarto, Lodi, WI, Karen Olson, Algonquin, IL; his grandchildren: Jennifer Naylor, Jeremiah Sloan, Joshua Naylor, Jaci Olson, Cheyenne Sarto, Gabrielle Sarto, Nicholas Sarto, Riley Sarto; his great-grandchildren: Samuel Naylor, Natalye Sloan, Ali Richardson-Naylor, Faith Naylor, Adyn Sloan and two nephews, Scott and Tim Abbott. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sue, July 13, 2008, his parents, his sister, Mary Lou Abbott, a brother, Tony Volk and an infant brother.

I worked with Terry when I was a young man in Dundee. I often wondered through the years where and how he was. I happened to google his name today out of the blue. He was a good man. So sorry hear about this. May God bless his family.
