Obituary

 

Janet Muriel Glissendorf was born on March 5, 1932 in Iona, SD the daughter of Forrest and LaVern (Shannon) Seeley. She was baptized and confirmed in Chamberlain, SD. On September 18, 1959 Janet was united in marriage to Wayne Glissendorf of White Lake.

Janet’s greatest loves were her faith, her family and her music. She played piano for church services and sang in the choir, often delivering a spirited soprano solo.  Her children and grandchildren will also always remember Janet’s playful spirit, endless smile and desire to give each of them happiness.

Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne (1996), brother, Loren Seeley and his son Brian, granddaughter, Megan Glissendorf and brothers and sisters-in law.

Janet is survived by her loving family, her sister-in-law, Frayne Seeley of Victoria, MN; daughter, Susan (Steve Harris) Glissendorf of Sioux Falls, son, David (Colleen) Glissendorf of White Lake, son, Mark (Kristi) Glissendorf of Sioux Falls, son, Gary (Susie) Glissendorf of Sioux Falls; grandchildren: Tina (Nate) Baker of Pierre, Derek of White Lake, Lucas of Minneapolis MN, Annie of Ogden UT and Kendall and Ethan of Sioux Falls; great-grandson, Brody Baker of Pierre, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

 

Memorials may be directed to the White Lake Medical Clinic Fund

at Farmers and Merchants State Bank in White Lake.

Many years ago when Gene was the minister in White Lake, I got to know you and your folks. I have many, many happy memories of your mother's support and the fun we had (including spending a day herding cattle on horseback.) My sympathy to you all.

Very sorry to hear of the loss of you Mom. I was a cousin of your,Granpa, Forrest. Seeley. Your mom and I exchanged Christmas cards for many years. Again,my sympathy.
