Obituary

 

Palma Jeanette Goldammer was born in Jerauld County to Joseph & Palma Rumelhart. She grew up in Wessington Springs, where she attended school and graduated in 1944. She married Leonard Goldammer in Luverne Minnesota in June of 1948. Jeanette worked in retail for:  Saterlie Drugs, Sears, Fred Meyer and Montgomery Wards for many years. Her joy in life was her family, playing cards and creating crafts. She loved going to James Valley Community Center to play cards until her husband’s death. Jeanette was a member of Resurrection Church. After her husband’s death she moved to the Denver area to be near children.

Jeanette is survived by Terry Idelberger, Westminster CO, Carol Alberts, Thornton CO, and Tom (Bobbi) Goldammer Broomfield CO; twenty-one grandchildren, seventeen great-great-grandchildren, and three great-great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Leonard, both of her parents, brother, Francis, and sister Melva.

We will miss Jeanette. Donna and I both are glad we visited with Jeanette the last time we were in the area. She showed us all the family books she had made and Donna couldn't believe she had saved all the Christmas we had sent. We use the dish towels she made all the time.
