Dear Vicki, Doug and Tom, My memories go way back to your days in Madison, yet our parents remained friends for years after. Vicki probably remembers our family more than the boys. My husband saw Ona Mae's obituary in the Madison Paper. We are sorry for your loss. Her picture looks just like I remember her--a very pretty lady. I have contacted my sister,Jacque in Lead and she will tell Mother. Mother is in an assisted living in Lead. She is 97 1/2 and doing quite well. We are holding you all in our prayers. We are still in Lamberton, Mn.

I remember, in my youth , chatting with your mom about the Big City vs, Small town. She even talked about her early driving experiences. We laughed until tears ran down our faces. She was delightful, positive and so full of joy. My memories of her are golden. I am certain that she and my mom, Faye, will enjoy heaven together.

Vicki, Tom, and family,
When you gather to share your family stories and memories, from your years with your mom, there'll be laughter as well as tears. Carry on her legacy by continuing to create new memories.
We offer our sympathy......

The world has lost a lovely lady, with One Mae;s passing, but heaven has gained a new shining example of grace and thoughtfulness. Her photo albums she made for her famiy are a great example of her patience and love. I treasure all of her notes on her Christmas cards. She had a certain knack about those things, and I loved her for it. Cousins, please accept our prayers and love for you all.

Your mother, still beautiful, was and is a very special lady. I have fond memories of her and you all when you would come to visit us in Omaha and we would visit you in South Dakota. I remember Aunt Ona and Uncle Bud at the lake where you all had a cabin (I think) where we would go visit. I always thought it was magical place. Everyone always enjoyed visiting with each other. Aunt Ona was so good and kind to us after our Mom passed away so many years ago. Helen, Faye, and Ona can once again visit with each other. What stories I am sure they could tell of their years growing up together. She will be missed.
