Arnold Alvin Lippert was born June 21, 1925 on a farm northeast of Delmont to Emil and Melita (Hirsch) Lippert.  He grew up on the farm in Delmont and attended county school.  On February 8, 1949 he married Delores Reiner at Tripp, SD.  He farmed in the Tripp and Delmont area until moving to Mitchell in 1963.  Arnold worked construction for a number of years and then for the City of Mitchell until his retirement. 

He is survived by his wife, Delores of 65 years; five children: Duane Lippert, Mitchell, SD, Brenda (Dale) Stevens, Sioux Falls, SD, Brian (Lisa) Lippert, Cedar Falls, IA; Ardis Lippert, Sioux Falls, SD, Kevin (Tami) Lippert, Sioux Falls, SD; seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one brother, Tempe, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Irvin and Alvin and one sister, Arlene Hahn.

My heart goes out to the entire Lippert family. Arnold was an absolutely wonderful human being who will be missed greatly by many. I am very grateful for the chance to know him a little. Picturing him with a smile and that laugh is a comfort.
