Herman Joseph Krumm was born November 16, 1935 at Hague, ND to Michael and Barbara (Wolf) Krumm. At the age of 14 he moved with his family to Emery. He served in the US Army from July 1956 until July 1959. On May 12, 1962 he married Yvonne Weber in Mitchell. They resided in Emery for a brief time and then moved to Farmer in 1963 where he was employed at the Farmers Elevator. After the Elevator fire in 1964 Herman started his own feed, fertilizer and trucking business which extended to farm services and the Krumm Bar. He was also employed by the Spencer Quarries, retiring in 2012. He was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Farmer, the Elks Lodge and he enjoyed dancing, playing cards and bowling. He especially enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren.
Those thankful for sharing his life are his wife of 52 years, Yvonne, three daughters: Vicky (Scott) Glatt, Whitewood; Val (Travis) Keller, Pierre; Linda Schroeder, Tea; one son, Eric (Jennie) Krumm, Sioux Falls; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, three sisters: Florence Corcoran, Pierre; Jane Hengel, Aberdeen; Dorothy Oleson, Akron, IA; two brothers: Jerome Krumm, Brandon and Cletus Krumm, Tucson, AZ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Edward, Gerard and one sister, Regina Hetteck.
