Virg was an enjoyable person to be around. As Carol Weisz noted, getting together with Don and Virg was always a great time for coffee at Sunshine. I especially get a chuckle every now and then when I remember when he portrayed a Christmas celebrity (SC) , stopped by our house, and the younger daughter, Heather, was petrified, after initially being excited about seeing the Christmas visitor in the street. Virg handled it well.. Thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends.

One of the best bosses I've ever had. Very professional also. God bless the rest of the family now.

I worked with Virgil at Subshine #4 (14th & 2nd) in Suoux Falls in the early sixties. We hunted jackrabbits near Marion. He was a great guy. I'll cherish his memory. Gene Steensma from Waterford Michigan

I would like to express my condolences at this time to your family. The Bible is a great source of encouragement at times like this. A comforting thought is at Revelation 21:3,4, where it states "...And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry be anymore the former things have past away". This scripture gives us hope for the future! You can also find comfort in Acts 24:15 - Death does not end it all. May Jehovah bring you comfort and peace during this difficult time. Your neighbor, S.Rubio

Engbrecht Family,
As a member of the Sunshine Family, I will remember Virg as the best boss I ever had.....always smiling. They just don't make them like that anymore! May all your memories help you get through this time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Grandpa! I love and miss you more than words can say. You are such a brave and strong man-you fought cancer on your own for so long. Cancer may think it won, but the glory is all yours. Life for us will never be the same without you. Please don't worry about Grandma, we will take care of her for you. You have taught us many great life lessons. You've showed us how to live our lives with integrity and compassion and love for others. This is not goodbye, but until we are together again. I love you forever.
