Ruby Evelyn Vissia was born December 17, 1932 near White Lake, SD to Robert Edison and Lela Evelyn (Stone) Nightingale. She attended Patton Country School and White Lake High School. She worked at Wagners Grocery Store and the Silver Dollar Cafe in White Lake for numerous years. For several years she drove the transportation vehicle for the Kindergarten School. On May 15, 1962 she married Andy Vissia. She was employed at the Aurora-Brule Nursing Home for twenty-five years, retiring in August 2001.
She is survived by her husband, Andy; four children: Bob Hall of Mitchell, Mark Hall of Glendale, AZ, Marlene Anderson and husband, Joe of Surprise, AZ, Sharon Nowotny and husband Eric, of White Lake; one sister, Jean Nightingale of Gillette, WY; eight grandchildren: Shawna Demink, David Anderson, Jessica Hall, Jennifer Hydeman, Joshua Hall, Carmen Truman, Jamie Hall, Winston Nowotny and five great-grandchildren, Emily Anderson, Trinity and Tristan Hydeman, Amanda and Ella Beardsley. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Pearl Bowers and two brothers, Harold and Lyle Nightingale.
