Edward “Ed” Joseph Ciaccia was born on December 3, 1967 to Ronald Ciaccia and Candace Greene in San Gabriel CA.  He attended Arroyo High School in El Monte CA.  After high school Ed attended mechanics school in Los Angeles CA to attain his credentials to be a certified mechanic.

In 1999 Ed moved to Mitchell be closer to his sister and nephews.  Within Ed’s first year in town he fell in love with Donna Bartunek and they were a couple for fifteen years and at the time of his passing.

Ed enjoyed fishing, motorcycles, working on and fixing anything with a motor, long discussions with friends and family around his kitchen table and visits from all of his nieces, nephews and grandchild.  These were all highlights in Ed’s life.  These along with his kind loving heart, compassion and helpfulness to all in need will forever be in all of our hearts.

Ed is survived by his son, Seth Strain, Los Angeles CA; his fiancé, Donna Bartunek, Mitchell; stepson, Lance Sweet, Tripp SD; his father, Ronald Ciaccia, Los Angeles CA; sisters:  Rhonda (Todd) Rath, Mitchell, Sonia and Lisa Martinez, both of Los Angeles CA and by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and grandson.

I did not know Edward personally, but I wanted to express my deepest sympathy for your family. At times like this,I have personally found Jesus Christ's words at John 5:28,29 to be truly comforting. There he promised that "the hour is coming when all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out...to a resurrection of life." I look forward to the time when I can see my loved ones again so much. Feel free to contact me at the attached email address and again I'm so sorry for your loss.
